changes to thistle schedule

Greetings,

There are some slight changes to the Purple Thistle Schedule.  Starting Dec. 1, 2009 we will be open from 4pm - 10pm, Mondays - Thursdays and 4pm - 6pm Fridays. The Little Thistler’s Art Space now takes place Mondays from 10am-12pm.

Please check our calendar for up to date information on classes and upcoming events.

The Thistle is a youth-run arts and activism centre. We operate in four main ways: We are open in the afternoons and evenings for drop-in. Please see signs on the door, big white board and website for hours. We run classes and projects of all kinds. There is lots of information available about what’s going on and how to sign up. If it isn’t totally obvious, ask someone.

We run full-time, paid training programs during the day, focused around arts, community work and/or publishing. If you are interested, write matt@purplethistle.ca Also, lots of groups, big and small, use the space for meetings, conferences, gatherings or as a work-space. You are welcome to meet here, just run it past the collective.

Alternative Processes


WED 4:30-6:30pm

Weekly workshop series that explores furthuring the limits of the moving image. images will be created entirely through abandoned photographic processes and techniques without reliance on current technology. participants are encouraged to bring along ideas or projects to further, discuss, and work from.
